Kilik was orphaned as a baby in front of the Ling-Sheng Su temple. He was taken in, and soon as he could walk, would train into adulthood. During this time, Kilik spent a good amount of time with another orphan, Xianglian, who inherited one of the three treasures of the Ling-Sheng Su temple, the Dvapara-Yuga. Kilik, after years of rigorous training, would also receive one of the treasures, the Kali-Yuga. It was peaceful in the temple, until one day, the Evil Seed rained down on it...

Appearances

Soul Calibur - The Evil Seed drove everyone in the temple mad. The people killed each other, Kilik, being one of the more skilled, killed many. The only person safe was the one with the mirror treasure, Xianglian. In order to save Kilik, Xianglian put the Dvapara-Yuga on Kilik, turning him back to normal, and her insane. Kilik was forced to kill his saviour in the end, and questioned his reason for living. He soon came into contact with Edge Master, who helped train him and advise him on his current situation. In order to purify himself, he would have to go on a journey.

Soul Calibur II - Kilik, with help from his new friends, Maxi and Xianghua, defeated Astaroth, Nightmare, and Inferno on their journey to stop Soul Edge. Kilik then returned to Edge Master to continue his training and fight the Evil Seed within him and his Kali-Yuga. His training would come to a halt, however, as his Dvapara-Yuga sensed the return of the Soul Edge. He met up with Xianghua again, and though they argued, they travelled together like before. They soon came across a mysterious man with a scythe...

Soul Calibur III - The man pushed aside Xianghua, and fought Kilik. After a difficult battle, Kilik was defeated and badly wounded. He lost consciousness as the man told him not to underestimate the evil of the sword, that going unprepared would leave him in trapped in the darkness. Kilik woke up to Edge Master's hermitage, and found out that Xianghua brought him there. Edge Master began performing a ritual that would finally purify Kilik. Kilik would then have to take part in the most challenging purification of his life: his own master engulfed with dark energy. After three long months, Kilik struck and purified Edge Master, but wounded him in the process. After giving Kilik Xianghua's note that she left for him, Kilik set out to on another journey, determined to purify the world.
